Others say that it's not a quality tool, made of poor quality plastic, and difficult to take apart and put back together. Be careful not to trail your fingers behind in the wet mortar, the tool really could use a post handle at either end to give better control when sliding it, bit like a shoe plane if you like. One professional remarked that he didn't feel the bed would adhere well to the brick as there was no initial "furrowing" in the bed. I found the end mortar guides a bit useless, tricky to clip onto the end if the brick, even trickier ti keep it in place, a pro retired brick layer neighbour showed me how to place end mortar on bricks, much easier with less mortar used. As said,wouldn't build a house with one,but great for smaller jobs - and would now feel a lot more confident with a trowel and mortar to be able to do without.
