It includes a huge 108-megapixel lens, which is still top-quality more than two years later. And the rest of the camera array includes a 3x optical telephoto sensor and a 10x optical telephoto sensor. The cameras also receive their fair share of upgrades this year. Indeed, the Ultra is the only S21 phone to come with a 108MP (f/1.8) main camera and it also comes with a pair of 10MP telephoto lenses. This 12-megapixel camera can capture pictures at 0.6x zoom. Normally, ultra-wide cameras are fixed focus and capture less than full-sensor images. Going all the way from the ultra-wide camera at 0.6x to the digitally zoomed-in 30x with usable photos each step of the way is how Samsung stands apart from Apple and its cameras on the iPhone 12 Pro Max (capped at 2.5x optical / 12x digital), and Google’s Pixel 5 (no telephoto). No one (except Huawei) is doing zoom on a smartphone like this in 2021, and your Apple phone-owning friends will have telephoto envy. A choice you don’t have to make, however, is whether or not to pay extra for a 5G model. All three phones come with 5G at no additional cost this year and the Galaxy S21 Ultra even supports Wi-Fi 6E connections (the first smartphone to do so), although the number of people likely to have a new 6GHz router at home is vanishingly small right now.

Samsung Galaxy Ultra 5G is the best on the market with its camera. Price-performance is top for this quality and performance. Can only recommend it. Unfortunately, what I have to criticise is that the fingerprint sensor only works when the display is clean. Foned completely gets it, it's not easy trying to understand the differences of each mobile network operator. Is o2 any better than Vodafone for this smartphone, when it comes to coverage? Or worse? It's a real minefield. Another example, which is better? A Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra ee contract or a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Tesco Mobile contract? In 2021, The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was the one to go for if you wanted the biggest and best android phone you can get your hands on. It’s the Samsung equivalent to Apple's iPhone 12 Pro Max, which launched a few months prior.
